Ethel Virginia Moore

Ethel Virginia Carter Moore, 89, a resident of Brandon, Mississippi died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Brandon, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi.
Mrs. Moore was a native of North Carolina and the youngest daughter of Theodore Carter and Sally Jernigan Carter. She lived in Alabama and Illinois before settling in Mississippi. She had a very strong work ethic and spent nearly twenty years in the food industry at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois before retiring. She was Presbyterian by faith. Mrs. Moore loved ironing, singing, bird watching, sports, flowers and her chihuahua Clara. Spending time with her family brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Pearson, Rodney, Leslie, Lucille, Elwood, Jim and Louise.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her four daughters, Sally Lee, Donna Heise, Christina Cragg and Teresa Lanum; ten grandchildren, Rebecca Blue, Andrew Coon, Jonathan Heise, Lauren Heise, Tamara Metcalfe, Kristi Mickell, Lindsey Miller, Harrison Lanum, Olivia Lanum and Owen Lanum; nine great grandchildren.
