Etta Marie Amason, age 98, a resident of Morton, formerly of Forest died Wednesday March 13, 2013 at the Mississippi Care Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30pm Saturday March 16, 2013 from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Carr Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10am til 2pm Saturday. Rev. Larry Duncan will officiate the services.

She was born July 16, 1914 in Smith County to John Harmon and Tennie Goodson. She was member of the Antioch-Steele Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Amason was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesse Graham Amason, a brother, James Amason and a sister, Gloria Perkins.

Survivors include four children; Janelle Creel, Shelby Porter both of Morton, Betty Reid of Tylertown and Martha Massey of Forest, one brother, Murphy Harmon of Morton, a legacy of 19 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are:James “Sonny” Creel, George “Joey” Massey, Paul Reid, Jessie “Bubba” Reid, Gary Porter and Chris Boykin,
