Eugene “Bo” Burnham, age 83, and a lifelong resident of Pelahatchie died Saturday, June 12, 2020 in Jackson following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday, June 16, 2020, from Thronhill Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10am til service at the church.
Mr. Burnham was born on May 4, 1937 in Pelahatchie to his parents G.D. Burnham and Lucille Watson Burnham. He was a longtime member of Thornhill Baptist Church. He had retired from Fountain Electric as a Pipefitter, having worked in his field over 50 years. He also served his country in the Army from 1956 to 1958. He loved the outdoors, being with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Myrtle Pace and Lynda Burnham.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, OlaMae Denson Burnham, 4 children; Shirley Burnham of San Antonio, TX, Pattie Jordan of Pelahatchie, Glenda Hazelwood (Mel) also of Pelahatchie and Terry Burnham (Paula) of Clinton. He is also survived by a sister; Loraine Milton of Florence, three brothers: Lennis Burnham (Sybil) of Pelahatchie, Jack H. Burnhan (Frances) of Tupelo and Henry Burnham (Mary) of Pelahatchie. He aslo leaves behind a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Richard Emerson, Keith Clark, Rocky Harrell, Mel Hazelwood, Albert Stevens and David White, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Conn, Phillip Rainer, Frank Martin, Waymond Parker and Brian Hall.
