Eugene Lee

Eugene Thomas Lee, age 80, a resident of Forest died Sunday March 23, 2014 at the University Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30am Friday March 28, 2014 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Visitation was held prior to the service beginning at 9am – 10:30am. Reverend Paul McDonald officiated. The family gathered at 12 noon for a graveside prayer and military rites at Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Mr. Lee was born in Akron,OH to his parents Carl Lee and Mary Harris Lee on January 27, 1934. He later entered the U.S. Air Force where he served his country until his retirement in 1973. He was reared in a Catholic home and later joined the Methodist church. He was a member of Forest United Methodist Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and a daughter: Mary Ann Lee. Survivors include his wife Emra Gay Lee of Forest, 3 sons Michael Lee (Pam) of Rabun Gap, GA Patrick Lee of Smyrna, TN Tommy Lee also of Smyrna, GA step son Curtis McMillan, Sr of Forest and step-daughter Kimberly Brink (Chris) of Lawrenceville, GA. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren; James Lee, Natasha Lee and Kaylan Lee and 1 great grandchild Honey Faith Newsome, 5 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Curtis McMillan, Jr., Christopher Pass, Richard Reeves, Mark Shepherd, Richard Hunt and Daniel Rawson.
