Eugenia Powell

Eugenia S. Powell of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 am in Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City with Tim West officiating.

Mrs. Powell was born August 29, 1934, to Curtis Sumrall and Florence Ainsworth Sumrall. She was one of twelve sisters. She was a member of North Brandon Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and visiting with her family. She was known as a loving person.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Florence Sumrall; sons, Keith Ables, Kelly Ables, and Jeff Powell; and her daughter, Kathy Ann Ables.

Survivors include her husband, G. Wayne Powell; daughters, Cynthia Ables Eckert (Doug), Robyn Powell Patterson, and Ellen Powell Hawkins (Truett); daughter-in-law, Lisa Ables; sister, Dusty Coker (Jim); 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
