Eva L. Coleman, age 85, died Saturday, May 16, 2020, in Carthage following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30pm Monday, May 18, 2020 from the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville with Rev. Earl Coleman officiating. A visitation will also be held at 2pm at the cemetery.
Mrs. Coleman was born on Saturday, October 13, 1934, in Dockery Plantation, MS to her parents Riley Allday and Lodi Bozeman Allday. She was a member of the Dockery Plantation Baptist Church. She had retired as an Inspector for the Ergon Corporation in 1993. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed life every day, visiting family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Coleman, and a daughter, Chessie Coleman.
Survivors include her 5 children; Sammy Coleman (Cathy) of Ridgeland, Wayne Coleman (Avanell) of Brandon, Stanley Coleman (Pam) of Carthage, Kathy Brown (Bobby) of Carthage and Sandra Brown (James) of Lena. She also leaves behind a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Coleman’s grandsons will honor her as they serve as pallbearers.
