A longtime resident of Rankin County, Mrs. Eva Lois Frazier was born Monday, May 8, 1933, the only child of Dave and Velma Smith Kersh. She passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the age of 86.
Mrs. Frazier was employed in the restaurant business, retired owner of Eva's Country Kitchen. Favorite past times were cooking and crocheting. She was a Christian by faith and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and will be missed by those who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husbands: Alton E. Shoemaker and Charles W. Frazier and one son-in-law: Greg Stevens. Her parents and one grandchild also precede her in death.
Survivors include three children: Dave (Rita) Shoemaker; Durfey (Nita) Shoemaker and Mary Ann Stevens; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Friday afternoon, February 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
There will be a visitation on Thursday evening, February 13, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Friday beginning at 12 noon and continuing until 1:30 pm prior to the service.
