Evelyn L. McGeHee Donald, 86, a resident of Pearl, MS passed into the eternal care of her Loving Savior, Wednesday, December 20, 2017.
Born July 14, 1931 in Kentwood, LA to Floyd and Zadie McGeHee, who preceded her in death along with her two brothers, Albert and Arlis McGeHee.
Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Billy Joe Donald, Sr. They had four children, Beverly Donald (Luther) Carmical, Rhonda Donald Rogier, Billy Joe Donald, Jr. and Paul Donald; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Evelyn made her home in Pearl, MS for the past 63 years and was a charter member of Grandview Baptist Church. She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #384 where she served several offices, most notably as Grand Ruth for one year, and as Worthy Matron for a number of years. She also is a Past Queen of Daughters of the Nile.
For over 30 years she worked as the Arts and Crafts Superintendent of the Mississippi State Fair which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Evelyn loved her family and God and her family loved and adored her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with the interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
