Evelyn Aycock Evans, age 51, a resident of Lena passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her residence. Visitation was held 10-2pm Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral Service was held at 2:30pm Saturday from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial at Macedonia Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Morton.

Evelyn was born in Scott County in 1961. She loved working in the yard and spending time with her dog, Phoebe. Evelyn enjoyed taking care of people and helping anyone in need. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Travis Leroy Aycock; step sister, Gail May; grandparents, Fred Carroll and Audrey Carroll Harrell and J.W. and Mary Aycock.

She is survived by her mother, Jimmie Carroll or Forkville; son, Jessie Glenn Evans (Trisha) of Forest; step mother, Ruby Aycock of Forkville; sisters, Sheila McCoy of Forkville, Gayle Aycock of Forkville; brother, Freddie Aycock (Peggy) of Mt. Olive; 3 grandchildren, Tracey, Wyatt and Morgan Evans; step sister, Pam Tripp (George Wiley) of Ludlow; step brothers, Michael Brantley (Deneene) of Lorena, Larry Brantley (Letha) of Sebastopol and Gerald Brantley of AL; special cousin, Bettye Nelson of Lena; nephews, Shawn Aycock and Dalton Aycock; numerous nieces, other nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Shawn Aycock, Michael Nelson, Coty May, Reggie McCurdy, Joel Carroll and Dalton Aycock. Honorary pallbearers were Davis Aycock, Abree Aycock, Keagan McQueen, Khory Darby and Larry Bowie Jr.
