Mr. Everett Doyle Blissett, age 78 passed away on December 10, 2016. Funeral Service was held at 3:00 pm Monday, December 12, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with Rev. Jerry Holmes and Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Visitation was held from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm Monday, December 12, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. He was a member of Line Creek Baptist Church in Morton.
He was born to Mr. Everett Ford Blissett and Mrs. Vera Simpson Blissett in Morton on August 8, 1938. Doyle enjoyed life and he loved to hunt, fish, and work. He loved his family very much and loved his football. The family said he had a passion for animals and he had a black bear, a lot of red deer, a mountain lion and llama. He also raised a bunch of rams and chickens. He loved wood working. He was very kindhearted and had a special compassion for people. He believed that everyone was good and kind. He had a special way of helping others.
He is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Vera Blissett; sisters, Lois Boykin and Blanche Middleton; grandson, Matthew Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Blissett; daughter Regina Diane Blissett of CA; sons, Gary Doyle (Vicki) Blissett of Clinton, Anthony Omar (Courtney) Blissett of Brandon, Richie Harrell of Morton, Harris Ford Blissett of VA; his sisters, Mary Cole, Jo Ann Parker, Francis Harpe Williams; brothers, William Blissett and James Blissett; granddaughters, Amber Nicole Rutland, Amanda Paige Kelly, Angelynn Virginia Thompson; grandsons, Chad Daniel Blissett, Harris Haiyze Blissett.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
