Faye Lynn Dupree Brown, 72, a resident of Brandon, MS, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sat. July 22, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Wed. July 26, 2017 from 5pm-7pm and on Thurs. July 27, 2017 from 1pm-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Memorial Services will be 2pm on Thurs. July 27, 2017 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.
Faye grew up in Jackson, MS and was a 1962 graduate of Central High School. She was a longtime resident of Brandon, MS where she attended First Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Faye was known for her cooking which she loved to do, and enjoyed going on vacations, but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Unselfishness, kindness and honesty were a testament of her character.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Hugh Brown; two children, Angie Smith and Justin Hugh Brown (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Stevie Garrett, Brylee Grace Brown and Joseph Bailey Smith; two sisters, Glenda Hicks and Barbara Hixson; a brother, Larry Dupree and a host of other close relatives and friends. Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Verna Dupree.
Faye was a two time cancer survivor and the family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Miss. Division Inc. at 1380 Livingston Lane Jackson, MS 39213.
