Flora Kathryn Jones, 81, joined her Heavenly Father on April 1, 2018.  Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  Services will be 11am Thursday, April 5, 2018, in the chapel of the funeral home and visitation will begin at 10am.  Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mrs. Jones was born in Neshoba County, MS on November 27, 1936 to William Percy Sikes and Maydell Morrow Sikes.  She married Billy Joe Jones on September 19, 1960.  After graduating from East Central Mississippi Community College she became the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Goodwill Industries.  After the birth of Cindy, she went home to be a wife, mother and homemaker.

Flora was a member of Pearl Presbyterian Church and a former member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Clinton.  She spent her life educating her doctors about CMT and spending her time in God’s word and enjoying listening to music and being with her family and numerous friends.  She was a proud support group leader for Charcot Marie Tooth Organization in Mississippi.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Billy J. Jones; children, Cindy (Chuck) Chesteen, Sherron (Brad) Carter and Scott Jones; brother, George (Avanell) Sikes; grandchildren, Taren Castello, Jordan Carter and Philip Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Alice Sikes; brother, W.P. “Bill” Sikes and sister, Jerry S. Wadell

The family is very grateful and would like to give a special thanks to Covenant Caregivers, St. Joseph Hospice Care and UMMC Pain Clinic for the excellent care given to Flora and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Flora Jones memory to CMT Organization(www.cmtausa.org), French Camp(www.frenchcamp.org) or to the building fund at Pearl Presbyterian Church.
