Flossie Mae Prestage, age 94 passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the River Oaks Hospital in Crossgates, MS. Visitation was held Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 05:00 pm until 09:00 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS and the Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Friday, August 15, 2014 in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with the burial at the Farm Rest Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Taggert, Rev. Anthony Prestage, and Rev. David Brewer officiated the services.

She was born March 31, 1920 to the parents of Dick and Maude “Harrell” Torrence in Rankin County. Mrs. Prestage was a resident of the Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crossgates for several years. She enjoyed her family and friends very much. She was a member of the Eureka Baptist Church, of Lena, MS. Mrs. Prestage will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dick and Maude Torrence; husband, J. L. “Louis” Prestage; son, James Prestage; brothers, J. W. Torrence, C. H. Torrence, and Johnny Torrence; sister, Julia Smith; and great grandson, Christopher Prestage.

Mrs. Prestage is survived by her son, Lesley and wife Shirley Prestage of Lena, MS; sisters, Justine Toney of Tylertown, MS, and Geneil and Billy Ray Richardson of Lena, MS; and brother, Donald Torrence of Texas; grandchildren, Jeff Prestage, Anthony Prestage, Alan Prestage, Amanda Prestage, Wallace Prestage, Ashley Prestage, Windy Prestage, Dustin Prestage; seventeen great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers serving were John Avery Prestage, Isaac Cannon, Jason Prestage, Carl Martin, J. P. Reid, and Bobby Torrence. Honorary pallbearers are Wallace Prestage, Alan Prestage, Jeff Prestage, and Hunter Stewart.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
