Mrs. Frances D. Hollingsworth, age 90, died on Sunday , April 14, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton following an extended illness.
Services for Mrs. Hollingsworth were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Hazel Baptist Church and burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm – 8pm Monday April 15, 2013 at OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest. Rev. Chris Wells and Rev. Randall Creel officiated.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was born on May 19, 1922 in Kemper County, MS., but spent most of her life in Newton County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She retired from Dollar General. She was member of the Hazel Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Hollingsworth in 1989; also preceded by her parents, Phillip Dotson and Janie McConnell Dotson.
Survivors include three children, Dorothy Federick (Charles), Bobby Hollingsworth (Ann) all of Lawrence, Sandra Phillips (Cobert) of Lake, 2 sisters, Doris Wheeler and Lena Hollingsworth. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Stanley Stewart, Brady Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Lane Wilkinson, Stacy Wilkinson and Jonathan Federick.
Funeral services provided by Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest.
