Frances J. Horne, 86, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Edgewood Health and Rehabilitation.  Visitation will be 4-6 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  Services will be 1 PM Monday, January 25, 2021, at Grandview Baptist Church in Pearl, MS.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scott County.

Mrs. Horne was born in Sunflower County on September 7, 1934, to O.D. Ferguson and Velma Wheeler Ferguson.  Frances was a long-time member of Grandview Baptist Church, where she was very active as a greeter and other social functions in the community. She worked in the Banking Industry from which she retired after many years of service.  She loved shopping, cooking and baking.  Frances was a very thoughtful and generous person.

Survivors include her son, Wayne Sanderford and his wife Nancy; step-daughter, Paula Covington and her husband, Ken; grandchildren, Shannon Sanderford, Brooke Sanderford, Keith Covington, Celia Gooch, Matthew Covington and Alex Horne; sisters, Dovie (H.S.) Neese, Erma (Jr) Fortenberry, Ruby Bowman, Lois Foote, Beryl Bostian and Tina Hembree.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil A. Horne; step son, Mike Horne; and siblings, Joyce Ferguson, Helen Evans, Buford Ferguson and Deryl Ferguson.
