Frances Rawls

Frances Bounds Rawls, age 89, a resident of  Louin, died peacefully Saturday September 22, 2018 at the Magee General Hospital.

Funeral services  will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday September 25, 2018 from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment to follow in the Leaf River Cemetery in Pineville.  Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate.   Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Monday September 24, 2018 and again Tuesday September 25, 2018 from 12pm til 1:45pm at  the funeral home.

Mrs. Rawls was a lifelong resident of Smith County.  She was a faithful member of Leaf River Baptist Church until the time she was no longer able to attend.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing  keeping her flowers  and garden  looking beautiful.  She loved her family and enjoyed visiting friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was born  in Smith County on Monday April 15, 1929 to her parents Mack and Ora Russum Bounds.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Tobe Nelson, a brother Mackie Bounds and a sister Johnnie Bounds Boutwell.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Morgan Rawls, daughter Kathy Yeager (Wayne); sister,  Sue Hammons (Junior);  brother in law Donald Boutwell  2 grandchildren David, Carol (Dewayne) 3 great-grandchildren Corey, Carlie and Hannah.  She also leaves behind 3 great-great grandchildren, Natalie, Aden and Gia.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
