Frank James Bowman, age 65, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his resident. Visitation was held 12pm-2pm Monday, June 19, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside services were held 3pm Monday at Bowman Cemetery. Bro. Jack Stewart officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Bowman was born in Rankin County on September 29, 1951. He was a service man for Residential Heating & Cooling for 20 plus years. Frank loved farming soy beans and corn when he was working with the King Family and the Bilbro Family. He also worked for Delta Steel as a steel worker. Frank loved being outdoors riding 4 wheelers, gardening, deer hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved getting together with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James William Bowman and Dorothy Jean Stewart Bowman; wife, Shelia Q. Bowman and brother, John R. Bowman.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Johnson and husband, Leslie III of Jackson; 2 brothers, Jimmy R. (Red) Bowman of Virginia and Spencer E. Bowman of Pelahatchie; 2 grandchildren, David Hall (Apyphanie McElroy) and Dillon Hall (Angel Mitchell); 4 great grandchildren, Ainsley McElroy, Karson Hall, Zoey Hall and Bentley Ward; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were James Bowman, Chris Bowman, Van Bowman, Jacob Bowman, Steve Bowman and Glen Bowman. Honorary pallbearer was Shay Purcell.
