FRANK M. DUBOSE, 89, passed through the door of this life peacefully on February 3, 2012. Frank was born to Jim and Vera DuBose in Yarbo, AL on July 24, 1922.
Frank was a veteran of WW II. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 in Detroit MI. His tour of duty took him to the US Naval Training Center in Davisville Rhode Island, followed be appointment to the 75th Construction Battalion. He served on the USS Landing Ship Tank 464, and later was discharged at Dublin GA in May 1945. Upon returning from the Navy he worked as a carpenter in the Jackson MS area. Frank made Forest MS his home in the latter part of his adult years.
The sunset period of Frank’s life was spent at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport MS. Frank’s numerous friends there remember him as a good friend, always ready to make a joke to lift them up.
Frank was an active member at his church home of Covenant Baptist Church in Forest, MS. In all his endeavors, Frank was recognized as a man of many talents. All who knew him appreciated his gentle spirit, kind eyes, and gracious manner. We rejoice in the fact that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Frank is preceded in death by brothers W.J DuBose of Laurel MS, James Dubose and Mark DuBose of Forest MS, and a sister Louise Brown of Jackson MS.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 9am until 3 pm in the afternoon on Wednesday February 8 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Forest MS. Funeral service will be held immediately following in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home. Interment will be immediately thereafter at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, south of Newton MS.
