Funeral services for Mr. Frank Roncali, Jr. will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 24, 2016 from the Ott & Lee Chapel with Bro. Pete Roncali and Bro. Tony Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Music for the service will be provided by Mr. Earl Perkins, pianist, and Mrs. Tammy Massey and Mr. Tom Nance, Soloists.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 pm until 8:30 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2015 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
Frank Roncali, Jr. was born Tuesday, November 22, 1918 in Bolivar County and passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Newton County at the age of 97. Having been a resident of the Newton area since 1958, and a retired security guard at La-Z-Boy South, he was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse at Newton, enjoying the fellowship of believers there and worshipping His Lord. He was a simple man with a strong work ethic and will be remembered for his love of family, and country music: his all-time favorite artist was Jean Shepherd. Many times he could be found doing what he enjoyed most: gardening, hunting, fishing, and farming.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Lillie Roncali and three sons: Charles Roncali, Lewis Roncali, and Johnny Wayne Roncali. His parents and all of his siblings precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife of almost 16 years: Mary Roncali; three sons: Frankie (Sara) Roncali, James (Sherry) Roncali, and Robert (Nancy) Roncali; one daughter-in-law: Dorothy Roncali, all of Newton; twelve grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; four step children: Betty Jo Bradham and Iona Geraldine Wilson, both of Greeneville; Billy Edward Homan of Morrero, LA; and Eugne Homan of Charlotte, N.C.; one half-sister: Angelina King of Tupelo; and one half-brother: Denon Woods of Shaw.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Roncali, Anthony Roncali, Dakota Roncali, Robert Roncali, Robby Roncali, and James Beavers.
