Mr. Franklin James Lee, age 60, a resident of Carthage passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the University Medical Center in Jackson. His visitation was held 5-9pm Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 1pm Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Officiating the services were Rev. Wayne McGee, Bro. Keith McGee, Rev. Jay Pace, Bro. Wayne Michael Lee and Bro. Shane McGee. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Franklin was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 26, 1954. He loved to fish and hunt and was known for his great cooking. Franklin loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Godbolt; father, Jimmie Lynn Lee; grandfather, Poppa Rogers; grandmother, Carmen Rogers and grandparents-in-law; Curtis and Bessie McGee.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa McGee Lee of Carthage; children, Jay Pace (Heather) of Lena, Wayne Lee (Terie) of Cooperville and Tony Godbolt (Sarah) of Jacksonville, FL; mother, Molly Rogers of North Carolina; sister, Lena Lee; brothers, David Lee and Jimmy Lee; 5 grandchildren, Angel Pace, Zakary Lee, David Colton Lee, Lula Godbolt and Lisa Taylor; father-in-law, Rev. Wayne McGee; mother-in-law, Carolyn McGee; brother-in-laws, Bro. Keith McGee (Heather) and Shane McGee (Rachael); and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Wayne Michael Lee, Keith McGee, Mr. Larry Massey, Shane McGee, Eddie Derrick and Dusty Graham.
