Fred Larry Carroll

Mr. Fred Larry Carroll, age 77, a resident of the Forkville community, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Jackson, MS. Larry was born to Fred and Audrey Carroll on April 5, 1947, in Scott County and lived there all his life. Larry was a Christian by faith and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was married for fifty-seven years to Jean Lyle Carroll. Larry was a family man and a father of two children, seven grandchildren, and one future great-grandchild. Hobbies include, gardening, fishing, hunting and fixing things for his grandkids and friends. Larry was a good provider for his family, and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Larry was preceded in death by, his parents, Fred and Audrey Carroll, sisters, Sandra Baker, and Jimmie Carroll. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Lyle Carroll, two children, Greta Thornhill, husband, Jimmy, of Sardis, MS, son, Joel Carroll, wife, Megan, of Mineral Wells, WV. One sister, Annelle Boyd, seven grandchildren, and one future great-grandchild.

Visitation will be, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday, September 9, 2024, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Bro. Matt Armstrong and Bro. Joey Smith officiating. Interment will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
