Visitation will be 5pm until 8 pm today at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon and starting at 9am on Tuesday at the church. The Funeral Service is 11 am Tuesday at Crossgates Baptist Church with burial in New Brandon Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.Gaylon was born in Tylertown on June 28, 1941 and graduated from Tylertown High School in 1959 and he also graduated from the GM Parts College. He worked for Fowler Buick-GMC, Inc. for 34 years as Parts Manager. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Estella McEwen.Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley (Sherriel) McEwen; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Stephanie McEwen; and one special granddaughter, Kayleigh McEwen, she was dear to his heart. He is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Joy Mitchell and JoAnn McEwen of Tylertown and several dear nephews and nieces; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Pat Greenlee and brother-in-law, Bob Greenlee of Columbia, MS.Gaylon loved the Lord, His Church, family and friends.The family request memorials to be made to Crossgates Baptist Church or The Heart Fund in his memory.
