SERVICES: 2 PM THURSDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN FOREST
BURIAL: CLIFTON CEMETRY
VISITATION: 5-8 PM WEDNESDAY AND 12 NOON THURSDAY UNTIL SERVICE TIME.
Geneva Calhoun Pope, 92, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon. Visitation is 5-8 PM Wednesday and 12 noon Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Services are 2 pm Thursday at the funeral home with burial in Clifton Cemetery. Rev. Billy Henry and Rev. Tommy Anderson will officiate.
Mrs. Pope was a native and lifelong resident of the Clifton Community in Scott County, except for the past 6 years when she moved to Pearl to be near her children. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Scott County. One of the happiest times in her life was when she worked at Sunbeam in Forest where she retired after 19 years of service.
Survivors include her son, Ralph Pope, Jr. and wife Dawn of Pearl; daughter, Shelby Donald and husband Richard of Pearl; grandchildren, Steve Pope and wife Becky, Lisa Crawley and husband Allen, Angela Moore and husband Eddie all of Pearl; great grandchildren, Callie, Lauren, Hayden, Landon and Tanner. Her husband, Ralph Pope, Sr. preceded her in death in 1976.
