Georgia Powell Campbell, 90, died on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Highland Home in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 starting at 1pm until the 2pm service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Georgia was born on June 17, 1926 in Attala County. She and her husband owned and operated Campbell Roofing for many years.
Survivors include her son, Robert Earl Campbell (Denise) of Canton, MS; 3 grandchildren, Lisa Bounds Halford (TJ) of Brandon, MS, Robert Christopher Campbell (Julia) of Kearney, NE, and Abbie Eason Koonce (Caleb) of Jackson, MS; 5 great grandchildren, Christopher, Lauren and Claire Campbell, Elijah and Bobbie Grunblatt; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Weatherly Campbell; daughter, Bobbie Campbell Bounds, a granddaughter, Mechelle Bounds Grunblatt; father, Irving Powell; mother, Myrtle Wooten Powell Singletary; and step father, Earl Singletary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon Baptist Church, Building Fund, 100 Brandon Baptist Dr., Brandon, MS 39042.
