Gerald Huffman

Gerald Eugene Huffman, age 79, of Pearl, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October, 27 2018 at 11:00am at Brandon First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mitchell Hedgepeth officiating. Interment will follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon and Saturday from 10:00am until 10:45 am at the church.

Mr. Huffman was born in Crossroads, MS in Rankin County to Lucy and Marvin Huffman on June 23, 1939. He grew up in the Crossroads area. After marriage to Jo Ann Peagler in 1963 he became a resident of Brandon, MS for 52 years. He was a resident of Pearl for the last 3 years. As a longtime member of Brandon First United Methodist Church, he was a founder and member of the Joy Sunday School Class along with his closet friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Huffman, also known as Big G, is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Huffman and Robert Huffman.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Huffman of Pearl; sister Betty Bowman (Hubert) of Pelahatchie; sister-in-law, Shelba Breedlove ( Bob) of Morton; daughters, Rhonda Pepper (Mike) of Ocean Springs and Carla Carter (Josh) of Williamsville, IL; and grandchildren, Tate Pepper and Lucy Pepper of Ocean Springs.
