Gerald R. Richardson Sr., 84, a resident of Richland, MS, passed away on Thurs. Dec. 2, 2021 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be held on Sun. Dec. 5, 2021 from 2pm-4pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services are 11am on Mon. Dec. 6, 2021 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Scott County, MS.

Mr. Richardson was born on Dec. 11, 1936 in Sebastopol, MS to the late James R. Richardson and Jewel Walton Richardson.

He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Ratliff (Jay); 5 sons, Ray Richardson (Kathy), Mike Richardson, Jimmy Dale Richardson (Cheryl), Danny Richardson (Teresa) and Chris Richardson; 3 sisters, Charlotte Bryant, Onita Johnson and Peggy Ashmore; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Richardson is also preceded in death by his wife, Winnie M. Richardson; brother, Walton Richardson and 2 sisters, June Gardner and Phyllis Dorman.
