Gerald T. Sullivan, 81, of Brandon, MS, joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 6, 2021, after a brief illness. Gerald was born to R.T. And Coreen Sullivan on December 30, 1939, in Mendenhall, MS and loved to tell tales of his youth of no electricity nor running water and the Saturday nights listening to the radio with extended family. Though a thoughtful and intelligent man, he never lost that longing for the simpler things in life, whether it was rising before the sun to read his Bible over a cup of coffee, enjoying an old western on TV or simply sitting on his front porch after work giving a smile and a wave to everyone in his neighborhood coming home from work. He learned to weld at a young age and was considered the “go to” welder in the area and worked at Novelty Machine Works in Jackson for over forty years, hardly missing a day.
Besides God, what he valued the most was his family, especially his wife, Jean of fifty-seven years. Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Jean; his sons, Steven and his wife Wendy, Stan and his wife, April; his daughter, Pam Sellers; five grandchildren, Heath and David Sellers, Molly, Delaney and Sam Sullivan; and five great-grandchildren; his brother, Larry and wife Brenda; and his sister, Elsie.
Many thanks to all those who offered their prayers over these last few days. Visitation will be held
