Ethel Geraldine Mangum, 77, a resident of Morton died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at home. Funeral services were held 3 pm Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Independence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 4-9 pm Monday and 1-3 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. John Rusum, Rev. Art Kintsley and Rev. Stan Lobin officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Mangum is a native of Scott Co. she is the daughter of George Cohn and Ethel Livingston. She was married to Henry Ford Mangum. Mrs. Mangum loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Independence United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Quilting Circle. She was a USDA poultry inspector for approximately seventeen years. For many years she enjoyed volunteering at the “We Care Mission” where in addition, she and Barbara Cooper provided meals for the Scott Co. Trustees. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.Mrs. Mangum is preceded in death by her parents, George Cohn and Ethel Livingston, brother, Elwin B. “Stork” Livingston, son-in-law, Will Russell, daughter-in-law, Denise Mangum, grandson, Everett Adams and granddaughter, Norma Mangum.Mrs. Mangum is survived by her husband of 61 years, Henry Ford Mangum of Morton; daughters, Jeanette Russell of Philadelphia, Ann Mangum of Morton and Cohnie Parker of Polkville; son, Mike Mangum of Dixon, MS; special son-in-law, Rickey Parker of Polkville; brother, Aubert Livingston and his wife Sue of Pearl; sister, Floyce Rosenthal of Natchez; seven grandchildren, Billy Joe Coley, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Harley Mangum and his wife Amber, Ashley Smith, Sonya Hardage, Cain Adams, Cody Mangum and Rod Parker, fourteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend, Barbara Cooper and many other close friends.Pallbearers were grandsons, Billy Joe Coley, Jr., Cain Adams, Harley Mangum, Cody Mangum, Ashley Smith and Rod Parker.Serving as honorary pallbearers were Frank Miller, Ed Thomas, George Rosenthal, Moe Adcock, Craig Seale, Scott Nichols, Lamar Baggett, Cohn Livingston and Larry Traxler.
