Geraldine Richardson

Geraldine “Gerri” Richardson was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She left this world peacefully on April 22, 2022 at the age of 79.

For those that knew Gerri you know that she had a passion for sewing.  She loved to dance and music filled her home often.  She cherished her family and embraced every moment with them.  She also loved spending time in the kitchen and making her famous homemade biscuits for anyone who asked.  Most of all Gerri was a faithful woman who loved the Lord and her church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Richardson and her parents, James Howard Harvey and Mavis Helan Burchfield Harvey.

Gerri is survived by her daughter Diane Brock, her sons, Jack “Bubba” Reel Jr. (Sherry), Jimmy Reel (Jackie Blackwell); sister, Joy Daughtry, 4 brothers, John Henry Harvey, Billy Raymond Harvey, William Earl Harvey, Tommy Harvey; 8 grandchildren, Tasha Jones (Rick), Jimmy Odom, Amanda Reel, Connie Reel, Gage Reel, Taylor Bailey (Danielle), Richard H. Maddox and Reed Creaden (Taylor); 11 great-grandchildren, Carley Odom, Shelby Odom, Brody Odom, Bexley Odom, Brinley Jones, Ali Jones, Vada Slawson, Malloree Slawson, Gracie Slawson, Connor Bailey, Jack Reel and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Gerri’s life will be held at 1pm on Mon. Apr. 25, 2022 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. Apr. 25, 2022 from 11am-12:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
