Geraldine White Self

Geraldine White Self, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Visitation will be from 11:30am-1pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Florence Cemetery in Florence, MS.

Geraldine was born in Magee, MS on March 29, 1929, to the late James Shelby White and Wilton Nancy Stringer. She was a member of Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and most especially, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, James (Joan) Self, David (Rebecca) Self and Susan Self; grandchildren, Mandye (Anthony) Flowers, Ashley (Jake) Purvis, Andy Self and Bryan (Aemi) Self; great grandchildren, Aiden, Camden and Carsen Flowers, and Shelby and Watts Purvis; sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Margaret (Dennon) May. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Nathan Self; infant son; and sister, Nezzie Barr.
