Gillye Robinson

Mrs. Gillye Robinson, age 89, passed away at her granddaughters' home in Pearl on Friday, December 24, 2021.  Her Visitation was held 1:00pm - 2:00pm Monday, December 27, 2021 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.  Services were held  2:00 Monday in the Chapel at the funeral Home with Family Graveside service following at New Liberty Baptist Cemetery, Morton, MS.  Bro. Paul Smith officiated the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Robinson was born on December 24, 1932.  She enjoyed being outside working in her flowers and enjoying the beauty of nature.  Gillye loved playing dominoes and being with her friends.  She loved the Lord and loved being a part of her prayer group.  Gillye loved spoiling her great grandbaby and loved her family.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt Talmadge Blackburn and Imogene Pace Blackburn; brother, Eugene Blackburn and son, John Talmadge Miller.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Amanda White and husband, Michael of Pearl; sister, Nila McCollough (Kennieth); great granddaughter, Elaina Rose White; nephews, Buddy Powell (Joan), Kenny McCollough (Suzy), Brad McCollough (Apphia) and Ray Robinson; great nephews, Jacob McCollough (Margaret), Miles McCollough, Ayden McCollough and Devin Linn; nieces, Eloise Powell Evans (Sonny) and Jeannie Walker (DW); great niece, Hanna Sanderford (Austin); a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Michael White, Brad McCollough, Kennie McCollough, Jeff Latham, Ronnie Ivy and Rusty Ivy.
