Glenda Gail Davis, 69, passed away on Tues. Sept. 28, 2021 at the St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Gail was born in Picayune, MS on Oct. 31, 1951 to James Hubert and Catherine Dill Lee. She worked for years as a decorator for local companies and most recently as church hostess for Brandon Baptist Church. Gail loved cooking and entertaining and was blessed to have the training for her culinary skills in Abruzzo, Italy. Her joy was in cooking for family and friends who enjoyed fellowshipping around the many meals she prepared. She loved gardening and doing projects around their home. She loved traveling.
Gail cherished time with her husband, Michael Patrick Davis of 37 years, her family and her dogs, Chloe and Manda. She enjoyed relaxing at their vacation site in Gulf Shores, AL. Gail's contagious laughter and joy will continually resound in the hearts of family and all who knew her. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, James Hubert Lee and Catherine Dill Lee, of Picayune, MS; her brother, Bruce Wilson Lee (Evelyn) of Picayune, MS; sister, Margie O'Dell Ponson (Joe) of Picayune, MS; sister, Lois Purvis (Paul) of Slidell, LA; sister, Faye Maness (Jimmy) of Sebastopol, MS; brother, George Lee (Mindy) of Picayune, MS.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Patrick Davis of Brandon, MS; her son, Tony Mitchell (Heaven); granddaughter, Tanya; grandsons, Chris and Christian; sister, Elizabeth Ann Levens (Erle) of Daphne, AL; sister, Connie Sue Maxfield (John) of Slidell, LA and many other family members and friends.
There will be a time of visitation that will be held on Fri. Oct. 1, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's in Memphis, TN.
