Glenn Measells

Mr. Glenn Sullivan Measells, age 63 and a longtime resident of Scott County passed away on Wednesday morning, December 23, 2020 at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital at Jackson.

Memorial celebration services will begin at 4:00 pm on the grounds of Branch Baptist Church, where a drive thru visitation will be begin at 2:00 pm for his family and friends. Rev. Joey Smith will officiate the service.

Mr. Measells was a Christian by the testimony of his faith and his family rests in the fact that he made peace with His Lord before his journey on life ended. Many days he could be found on the greens teeing off, in his favorite sport of golf, or hunting in the woodlands, or fishing on the lake, which gave the summarization of his enjoyment as a true, avid sportsman. He also enjoyed the game of football and held a strong affiliation and following of the New Orleans Saints.

He is preceded in death by two children: Christopher and Amanda; his parents: Mitchell and Gordon and Mary Dell Latham Measells Wilson.

Survivors include his daughter: Whitney Denton; his grandchildren: Elaylah Measells, Bralynn Denton, and Leyton Sullivan Denton; two sisters: Mary Ann (Farrell) Madison and June Harrell (Bruce) Wiskus and one brother: Mark (Bobbie) Measells, all of Morton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
