Gloria Pinter

Gloria Jean Rouse Pinter passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Brandon, MS at the age of 72. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 2pm-5pm and on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 10am-10:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Jean is survived by her husband, Marvin of 54 years, and 3 children; Jeff Pinter (Janna), Chad Pinter and Greg Pinter (Sharon) all of Brandon, MS and her grandchildren, Collin Pinter (Brittany), Cassidy Pinter, Brady Pinter, Cameron Pinter, Corey Pinter, Abby Pinter and Zack Pinter and one great-grandchild, Emma Grace Patterson.  She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Gilbert, and her brothers, Wayne Rouse (Charlotte) and Norman Rouse (Star), along with many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, H.C. Rouse, Ilava Rouse and her brother, Doug Rouse.

Jean was born on February 20, 1948 in Purvis, MS to H.C. and Ilava Rouse and lived there until the family moved to Pearl when Jean was in the 6th grade.  She graduated from Pearl High School in 1966.  She was a head teller at Deposit Guaranty for many years, retiring in 1999 to be a full-time Mamaw.  Jean was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball and always enjoyed sitting on the front row to see her grandchildren perform in the Brandon Show Choirs.  Jean always had a servant’s heart.  She was a member of the ChristWay Church of God in Flowood, MS and loved serving on the Impact Team.
