Gloria Sue Anderson

Gloria Sue Deason Anderson of Brandon, 74, died peacefully on March 23, 2016 at Hospice Ministries following a protracted illness. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 26, from Noon until 1:45 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home on Hwy 80 in Brandon. The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m., with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens, 1106 Star Road, Brandon.
She is survived by her devoted and beloved husband of 37 years, Michael E. Anderson; and her children Greg (Shannon) Stanton, Suzanne Stanton and by two grandsons, William Stanton and Matthew Stanton, all of Brandon.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Margaret (Stocks) Deason and a sister, Margaret Ann Randall. Gloria was a native of Tallulah, LA and worked as a practicing registered nurse for more than 40 years. At the age of 18 she enrolled and completed nursing education at the Gilfoy School of Nursing at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. In 1988 received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Mississippi College. After serving as Director of Risk Management at River Oaks Hospital, she retired in 1998.
The family expresses appreciation for the compassionate care provided by the physicians, nurses and staff at Merit-River Oaks, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Brandon Court Nursing Home and Hospice Ministries.
