Grace Harrell, age 90, a resident of Morton passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton. Visitation was held 5-8pm Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service was held 2pm Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Morton Church of God Cemetery. Bro. Tal Vardaman, Bro. Kent Yarbrough and Bro. Curtis Roland officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Grace was born in Smith County on December 31, 1924. She loved to be outdoors working in her flowers and fishing. Grace was known for her giving heart and the loved she had for everybody. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Cyrus Smith and Elizabeth Inez Reeves Smith; 1st husband, William Z. Johnson; 2nd husband, Willie S. Harrell; 2 children, Peggy Polk and Joe Harrell; brother, Rev. L.C. Smith; 5 sisters, Carrie Smith, Clytee Smith, Lillie Mae Smith, Irene Dean and Myrtle Parker; 2 grandsons, Jerry Polk and Zack Johnson; 2 granddaughters, Julie Johnson and Donna Lewis; 1 great grandson, Jimmy Baker; 3 great granddaughters, Chloe Harrell, Reatus Craft and Christy Richardson.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Shirley Boyte, Beverly Elliott (Melvin), Nancy Harrell and Helen Fortenberry; 6 sons, Roger Johnson (Sue), David Harrell (Sandra), Willie Junior Harrell (Mary), W.T. Harrell (Alice), Don Harrell (Wanda) and Sammy Harrell (Becky); a host of grands, great grands, great great grands and great great great grands and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Gary Polk, Austin Sudduth, Kevin Polk, Chris Harrell, Payton Keith, Tony Boyd, Jeff Harrell and Ray Herrington. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Williams, Stevie Williams, George Paul,A.C. Thatcher, Don Cliburn and Ronnie Brown.
