VISITATION: 5-8 PM WEDNESDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN BRANDON AND 9:30 AM AT SARDIS BAPTIST CHURCH UNTIL SERVICE TIME.


Theo Grace Canterbury Jones, 92, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2011. Visitation is 5-8 pm today at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 9:30 am Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Sardis Baptist Church. . Services are 11 am Thursday at Sardis Baptist Church with burial at White Oak Cemetery in Smith County.

Mrs. Jones, better known to everyone as “Aunt Grace, ” was the sixth of eight children born to Cora Dukes Canterbury and John Monroe Canterbury, on October 13, 1918, in White Oak, Mississippi. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and involved in various organizations such as Eastern Star. She owned and operated Grace’s Beauty Shop in White Oak for many years. She spent much of her time gardening, cooking and enjoying family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elrie Jones, her mother and father, and her siblings. Aunt Grace is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
