Grace Jones

Grace Logan Jones, age 96, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at home. Private family services were held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Jones was born on June 24, 1924 in Rose Hill, MS to Oscar Lee Logan and Elizabeth Chatham Logan. She was married to Henry Woody Jones. She worked at the VA Hospital for many years before she retired. She was a long-time member of the DAR and the Order of the First Families of Mississippi. She also loved doing volunteer work at her church, Brandon Baptist. Mrs. Jones loved God, family, church, community and her friends. She was a loving and giving person who will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Woody Jones; parents, Elizabeth Chatham Logan and Oscar Lee Logan; sisters, Dorothy Lee Chatham and Opal Elizabeth Anderson; brother, William Harvey Logan; and nephew, William Michael.

Mrs. Logan is survived by her nieces and nephews, Deborah Jean (Billy) Henderson, David Wayne (Betty) Logan, Tara Beard (Todd) Olmsted, Jane Beard Greer, Thomas R. Beard, Donna (Kenneth) Chatham, Billie Karen (Charles) Helms, Beverly Chatham Harrison, Beth Ann (Charles) Posta, James E. (Michele) Anderson and Tina Logan. She is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
