Gracie Pace

Gracie Pace, 82, of Forest, passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2024 at her home. Visitation will be held Friday, September 13th from 5-8pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest, and Saturday from 10-11am at Steele Baptist Church with funeral services starting at 11 to be officiated by Bro. Joey Smith and Bro. Joe Crain. Internment will take place at Steele Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Gracie was born  August 2nd, 1942 to Willie Spears and Clara Brooks Spears in Thomastown, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents; Her husband, Clyde "Buddy" Pace; three sisters, Dollie Kirkpatrick, Eula Herrinton, and Shirley Graftin; a brother, Billy Spears; a grandaughter, Clara Bender; and Betty and Gladys Pace. 

She is survived by her three children, Clyde Pace of Pearl, Joyce Reese of Forest, and Wanda Hodge (Wayne) of Forest; two sisters, Maxine Graftin of Forest, and Elsie Spears of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. 

Serving as pallbearers will be: Tony Bender, Zachary McKewon, Joseph Powell, Darrell Brogdon, Ashton Fortenberry,  and Lee Powell. 

Honorary pallbearers will be: Brandon Prestage, Gabriel Harrison, and Caleb Bender.
