Guillermo Montero Lara, age 10 a resident of Morton passed away from injuries in an automobile accident on April 3, 2016. Visitation was held 5-9pm Friday, April 8, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1pm Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Martin’s Church with burial that followed in Hodge Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Guillermo was born in Memphis, TN on June 2, 2005. His family said that he loved to draw and that he would want to buy colors everytime he went shopping. His teachers and principle at Morton Elementary school stated that he always had a big smile everytime they saw him. Guillermo was in the 3rd grade at Morton Elementary School. He loved animals, but especially his little dog. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Mireya Montero Lara of Morton; step father, Hernan Perez of Morton; 2 sisters, Raquel Montero Lara and Jacqueline Perez Montero; brother, Herman Perez Montero; grandparents and a host of friends.
