Hal Booth Williams, born February 6, 1957, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Robert and Louise Williams, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and his beloved dog, Charlie.
Hal grew up in Brandon, in the Gulde community, and was a proud 1975 graduate of Brandon Academy. He continued his education at Mississippi State University before dedicating 42 years of service to Rankin County and the state of Mississippi through his various positions at Trustmark National Bank. Over the years, Hal also served as President of the Rankin County Chamber of Commerce and served as a leader within the Rankin County American Heart Association and the Rankin County Soil and Water Conservation, and a member of Pinelake Church.
Hal found his greatest joy on his family farm, where he spent countless hours in the seat of his tractor. He loved raising cattle and took great pride in his work as a tree farmer.
Known for his humor, generosity, and kind heart, Hal brought light and laughter to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community will be remembered and cherished forever.
Hal is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Williams, and his daughters Rebecca Williams (Renee Williams and grandson, Ben Williams) and Reagan Williams. He is also survived by his sisters Cheryl Phillips (Robert Phillips, and nieces Chelee Davis and Cheri Beth Bowen) and June Linke (Tom Linke). Hal was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Curtis Williams and Louise Hutson Williams.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 23, at Pinelake Church at 2:00 p.m., with visitation taking place prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
