Hattie L. Shaw, 73, a resident of Byram, MS went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her home in Byram, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be 11am on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Lorena Baptist Church Cemetery in Smith County, MS.

Hattie L. Shaw was born on July 30, 1942 in Flora, MS to the late Lester Luke and Christine Luke. She lived in Byram, MS for the past seven years and was Pentecostal by faith. Hattie was a wonderful woman to all she knew. She was a woman of God first and then a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother secondary. She always had a kind word and personality that could light up any room. She will be missed by all.

Hattie was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Phillip Shaw; two children, Gloria Simmons and Phil Shaw; a grandchild, Brandy Scarbrough and her husband, Matthew Scarbrough.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Alexander of Jackson, MS; son, Phillip Shaw Jr. and his wife Amy Shaw of Byram, MS; her brothers, Herman Luke of Jackson, MS, R.C. Luke of Forest, MS, James Luke of Philadelphia, MS, Wallace Luke of Forest, MS; sister, Sara Barnett of Philadelphia, MS; three granddaughters, Gloria Deann Shaw of TN, Katelynn Grace Shaw of TN and Wendy Ramage and her husband Jason Ramage of Byram, MS; four great grandchildren, Destinee Story, Haiden Scarbrough, Hunter Scarbrough and Skyler Ramage, as well as many nieces and nephews.
