Butler, 93, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her home in Richland, MS. Visitation is 5 – 7 pm Sunday, September 12, 2010 and after 9 am Monday, September 13, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Richland, MS. Funeral Services are 10 am Monday, September 13, 2010 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Glenwood Memorial Park.Mrs. Butler was born on October 26, 1916 in Bay Springs, MS to the late Richard Bernice Buckley and Willie Maude Howell Buckley. She grew up in Taylorsville, MS and graduated from Taylorsville High School. She then graduated from Mississippi College with a Degree in Education. She taught 1st grade at Richland Elementary School for 21 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland, MS where she was a member of the JOY Sunday School Class.Survivors include her three children, Jamie Butler and his wife, Dianne of Florence, MS, Ellen Sullivan and her husband, Bert of Richland, MS and Liz Foster and her husband, Danny of Clinton, MS; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Richland, MS.
