Helen "Tootie"  Harpe Lawrence

Mrs. Helen Lawrence, age 76, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Forest, MS.  Her visitation was  held 5pm-7pm Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 10am-10:45am Thursday at the funeral home.  Funeral Services were held 11am Thursday, June 18, 2020 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with graveside following at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Cemetery.  Bro. Tal Vardaman officiated the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Lawrence was born in Rankin County on September 27, 1943.  She loved playing basketball and enjoyed watching baseball games.  Helen never missed a episode of Days of Our Lives.  Her family would record it if she could not watch it at the time it was on.  She enjoyed loving and spoiling her grands and great grands.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lawrence; parents, Eulyce Harpe and Pearl Martin Harpe; siblings, Doogie Harpe, Man Harpe, Bobbie Boone and Altus Rhodes.

She is survived by her children, Ricky Lawrence and wife, Tammy of Pisgah and Rhonda Bean and her wife, Tasia of Magee; sister, Mary Kate Knight of Pelahatchie; 5 grandchildren, Courtney Brown (Kelby), Zachary Westerfield (Abby), Justin Lawrence, Adam Westerfield and Brad Westerfield (Samantha); great grandchildren, Peyton Mangun, Eli Brown, Kolbi Grace Brown, Richard Lee Westerfield, Christian Quick, Gabby Lawrence, Dakota Westerfield and Haven Westerfield; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Zach Westerfield, Brad Westerfield, Justin Lawrence, Kelby Brown, Randy Knight and Jim Rhodes.  Honorary pallbearer was Adam Westerfield.
