Glen Miley, 98, a resident of Pulaski died Monday, May 7, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Pulaski Independent Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the funeral home. Rev. James Mitchell, Rev. David Lane and Mickey Walls officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Miley was a native of Smith Co. but a longtime resident of Pulaski. He was the son of Robert and Mattie Miley. He was married to Agnes Thomas Miley. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Miley loved fish, hunt and work in his garden. He served as post master of the Pulaski Post Office for 20 years. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Miley was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mattie Miley, brother, Marshall Miley, sisters, Wilma Gould, Louise Pilgrim, Donnie Miley and his granddaughter, Angie Horsely.
Mr. Miley is survived by his wife of 62 years, Agnes Thomas Miley; children, Gerald (Georgia) Horsely, Shirley Robinson, Ronnie (Angie) Miley, Sandra (Lewis) McLemore and Frances Waters; 8 grandchildren, Saundra (J.T.) Gilbert, Shannon (Jimmy) Fuidry, Stephanie (Mitch) Cantrell, Jeremy (Kendy) Horsley, Gabrielle Waters, Christan Miley and Jacob Miley; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Crotwell, Grady Boozer, Jimmy Guidry, Harold Gould, Jerry Gould and Billy Ray Brown. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Dale Risher, Kendal Crotwell and J.T. Gilbert.
