Henry Ellis Simmons was born at the University Hospital in Jackson on June 9, 1962 to his parents: Thomas Andrew and Shirley Joanna Gould Simmons, who precede him in death. He passed away Thursday, February 04, 2016 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest at the age of 53.
A Pentecostal by faith, Henry was an avid outdoorsman, particularly fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed being a “shade tree mechanic.” He will be remembered by his selfless deeds of always being willing and wanting to help his fellow man. He will be missed.
He is survived by one sister: Shirley (Mickey) Grammer of Shannon; two brothers: Michael Simmons, and Jeff Simmons, both of Forest; and a host of nieces of nephews.
Private family services will be held in the presence of his immediate family members.
