Herbert Charles Dahl, 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his home in Florence, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5 pm until 7pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and Friday, October 6, 2017 from 10 am until 11 am at Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Florence, MS. Funeral Services will be at 11 am from Mountain Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in Garden of Memories at Florence, MS.
Herbert Charles Dahl was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Hurbert Dahl and Bernice Elizabeth Champeau Dahl Knapp. He had been a residence of Rankin County since 1976. Herbert was of the Catholic faith but attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He was self-employed in the upholstery business.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Merle Quinn Dahl; children, John George, Mike Dahl (Kristen), Shalane Dahl (Israel), and Curtis Dahl (Alison); grandchildren, Emily Bennett (Andrew), Jessica George, Cody Dahl, Corine Dahl, Chloe Dahl, Brielle Dahl, and Zachary Dahl; great grandchildren, Britley Langford, Jayden Langford, Elizabeth Bennett, John Bennett, and Rivers Bennett; brothers, John Dahl, Tom Knapp, Gary Knapp; and sisters, Dorothy Zaucher, Arly Grove (Rueben), Sandy Brantmeier (Jeff), Lori Hatfield, and Caraolyn Knapp.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
