Herbert Leon Thrash

Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Leon Thrash will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Boyles and Bro. James Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Ephesus Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 800 pm at the funeral home and on Saturday from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm prior to the funeral service.

Herbert Leon Thrash, a native of Scott County, was born on September 29, 1931 to his parents: John Eley and Fannie Mae Thrash. He passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home at the age of 86.

He will be remembered for his love for his family and his many friends. He was a simple man, who loved the Lord, and served Him faithfully, and served his fellow man. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, riding the tractor, and gardening. He was an active member of the Sandridge Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his children: Carolyn Thrash Jordan, Ronnie Thrash, and Clay Thrash. Four brothers also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife: Nell Harrison Thrash of Lake; two brothers: Lamar Thrash of Morrilton, AR and Johnnie Thrash of Forest; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven step-children; a host of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Jordan, Josh Jordan, Beaudy Harrison, Ely Harrison, Brandon Harrison, and Blake Hines.
