Herbert Wayne Mcdill

Herbert Wayne McDill, 83, of Forest passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Ott and Lee Chapel with Rev. Ted Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Wayne was born March 13, 1932 and was a lifelong resident of Forest. He was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of the Forest Masonic Lodge.
He retired in 2006 from L.W. Gatewood Wholesale Company after fifty-four years of dedication to his job as a salesman. Wayne loved the outdoors and loved coon hunting, bird hunting, and fishing.
Mr. McDill is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Tressie Burkes McDill; two brothers: Bobbie N. and James Earnest McDill; and sister-in-law: Ruby McDill.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Christine McDill of Forest; one daughter: Diane Cox (Wayne) of Forest; two sons: Billy Wayne McDill (Sheila) and David McDill, both of Forest; grandchildren: Timmy McDill (Amanda) of Forest; Melodie Cox Lindsey (Josh) of Brandon; Matthew Cox (Melissa) of Forest; Joey McDill of Forest; and Michael Cox of Collierville, TN; great-grandchildren: Peyton McDill, Brennan McDill, Jayden Cox, and Noah Lindsey; two sisters-in-law: Nell Stewart and Pauline McDill, both of Forest and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Timmy MCDill, Joey McDill, Josh Lindsey, Matthew Cox, Michael Cox, Randy Hawthorne, and Michael Autry.
Memorials may be made to the Hillsboro Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 6190 Old Hillsboro Rd., Forest, MS 39074.
