Mr. Herbert Wesley Crapps, age 64, a resident of the Branch Community passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Merit Riveroaks Hospital in Flowood. Visitation was held 5-8pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service was held 2pm Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Eureka Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. Wayne Woodall officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Crapps was born in Lexington, MS on May 10, 1951. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Herbert was known for his great cooking and he loved to garden. He enjoyed being able to help people any way he could. Herbert loved his dogs, Sam and Sissy and he will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Crapps and Annie Lee Sims Crapps.

He is survived by is wife, Wautese Ladd Crapps of Branch; daughter, Teresa Lanae Harper of Flowood; 4 sisters, Lela Mae Darrow (Ken) of Canton, Annie Jewel Steadman (Bill) of Morton, Christine Schneider (Chuck) of Vicksburg and Estelle Mills (Danny) of Vicksburg; 3 brothers, JR Crapps (Carolyn) of Morton, Allen Crapps (Wanda) of Kracker Station and William Crapps (Lora) of Kracker Station; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Coty May, Wesley Mattix, Wesley Mattix Jr., Caleb May, Jody Stewart and Mike Measells. Honorary pallbearers were Fred May, Billy McCurdy and Justin Hogan.
